A Celebrity First!!!

This week is all about “first’s” for my family as we take our first ever cruise holiday together. As you know I have cruised many times, but my husband and children have never cruised before and we are all so excited about our adventure we are about to take.

On Wednesday we head off to Southampton to Join the Celebrity Eclipse for 10 nights to Portugal and Canaries. For a family of five I will be very interested to see our cabin we have booked a Family suite on deck 8, which those of you who have big families like me will know it is very hard to get cabins to fit more than four people. Our family suite will have a double bedroom, Bunk bed room, lounge area with sofa bed and benefits from both 2 large windows and balcony.

As a family like most holiday goers, we have spent months now researching our trip. Looking at what the ship has to offer and planning what to do. Here are what my family are looking forward to most.

My husband Ben is really looking forward to the leisure activities (unlike me planning to spending as much time on a sunbed with a good book), he has even made me pack his gym kit ready for a visit to the Gym to try out all their modern machines hoping to work off some of that lovely cruise food.

My youngest daughter Ruby cannot wait to see  the kids club. The Fun Factory for kids aged 3-11 offers exciting games and activities, and as a friendly child she is looking forward to meeting some new friends and having lots of fun.

My middle daughter Abigail is intrigued by the silent disco. If you have never been to one before as silent disco is where everyone gets headphones and controls what song they dance to, volume etc……. She will be busting out some moves I’m sure in the evenings.

Lastly my crazy eldest daughter Megan is most excited about Room service. The idea that someone will deliver breakfast to our room each morning, or a grill cheese sandwich when every she wants is proving to be a bit hit before she even gets on board but I’m sure she will have much more to be excited about by the time we get home.

Soooooooo for now it is Bon Voyage, keep an eye out for my next blog to see how the Turners enjoyed their first cruising holiday.

Until Next time

Marie
