2018 looking good for Princess in Southampton

Last month Princess Cruises announced its summer European plans for the upcoming 2018 season. The cruise line will have 5 ships based in European waters for the 2018 season.

The major change is that the Sapphire Princess will be comimg over from the Far East to Europe for the first time, I think this is to make way for the new Majestic Princess that will be in Asia from May next year.

With 57 unique itineraries, visiting 35 countries in Europe this opens open a few more new options for Princess lovers that are probably getting a little tired of ‘Around Britian’ every 10 to 12 days.

“We’re proud to continually earn awards for the best cruise itineraries around the globe and we’re sure to live up to our reputation with the 2018 Europe season,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president. “We’ve worked hard to not only showcase the famous sites of Europe to our guests but also provide them authentic local experiences to immerse themselves in the culture, food, landscape and charm of these iconic destinations.”

The Sapphire Princess makes her maiden call to Britain, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean out of Southampton. I guarantee the Singapore to Southampton re-positional cruise will prove to be popular as she makes her was to her new home port.. The cruise ship will also make the cruise line’s first port call to Skagen (Denmark).

The Royal Princess, which will offer 12-day round-trip British Isles Voyages from Paris/Normandy (La Havre), in addition to round-trip cruises from Southampton. Select sailings on this itinerary will feature overnight stays in Dublin and all cruises will include late a departure from Belfast.

So with the Royal Princess and the Sapphire Princess based out of Southampton, they are taking the amount of capacity on offer to over 6000!

Princess cruise line still sees the UK market as a spending nation that like enjoy a their cruises.

I book plenty of my clients on Princess Cruises so I’m looking forward to being able to offer more from Southampton.

What do you think to more princess out of Southampton.
