This is South Queens ferry where we joined the Caribbean Princess on 28/05/2016 for three lovely nights, this was The Academy @ Sea with the cruise line to give us a taste of the ship and gain some insights, the weather was absolutely fabulous and you can just spot her in the background as unknown to us this is a tender port. Its about 20 minutes into Edinburgh from here, around £20 – 25 in a cab if you ever vist as a port on your Itinerary, lots of 7 seaters available , so a good idea to speak to other passengers and share the cost.
They laid on a large tender just for us , we were a group of around 40 , with eight of us from cruise.co.uk
This is our cabin B201 we were right at the front of the ship, and I can guarantee you we felt no movement at all, blows the whole mid ship theory, okay we did not cross the Atlantic, but the seas were choppy down to Le harve in France, and it was warmer in Scotland !! Typical ! Did not spoil it for us though
Just a note about this port , we arrived early around 07:00am it can take up to three hours by coach for Paris, so make sure you get an early start, they do tend to stay around until late, in fact we were due to sail @ 7pm but were delayed waiting for coaches to return until 8pm, there is a small town about 20 minutes away called Honfluer , they have lots of bars, shops and even a market, very popular if you do not want six hours on a coach !!
Plenty of hanging space, perhaps take a few more hangers, we were okay, but if you were on for two weeks ?
The Sanctuary, what an amazing spot , for $20 half day , or $40 for a full day, with its own private pool and Jacuzzi’s , it is of course adult only, I would definitely book this on a sea day, with maybe a few treatments , sheer bliss………………..
