Today saw the start of a new chapter in the Royal Caribbean story book as Harmony of the Seas sailed in to Southampton. Holding a massive 5,479 passengers Harmony of the Seas is the World’s largest Cruise ship.

Harmony will stay in Southampton till the 20th May when she will hold a pre-inaugural sailing for members of the press and agents to get on board, she will then sail on the 22nd May for a 4-night inaugural cruise, then another short 3 nighter before heading from Southampton down to Barcelona where she will be based in the Med for the Summer months.

Harmony of the Seas is the 3 Oasis Class ship and is sisters to Allure and Oasis but in fact Harmony is about a foot longer – giving her right to that title – Largest Cruise Ship in the World!

Harmony is practically identical to the Oasis and the Allure with the exception of a few added extras such as a Waterpark at the top of overlooking Central Park below, she will also have the Bionic Bar which is currently only found on the Quantum Class as well as Wonderland which also comes from the Quantum Class.

Most talked about is the Abyss which gives Harmony another title – Tallest Slide at sea. The Abyss is entered via the top of the ship by the Flowriders, once on board you will travel down 10 decks and leave the slide on the Boardwalk! Why wait for a lift!

In total Harmony of the Seas has 23 Swimming Pools, 20 Restaurants and over 11,000 works of art – That’s a lot of Art.

So Harmony of the Seas will remain in the Spotlight for the rest of this month. If your in Southampton have a look out for Harmony and if you are lucky enough to get on board then have a great time!

Let me know if you are seeing or going on her!
