The Ultimate World Cruise!

Oceania Cruises are known for being the cruise line that spend the most on food, and having been on the Oceania Marina and Nautica I can vouch for that, but Oceania are also known for having one of the longest World Cruises.

Released earlier this month, Oceania Announced that the R Class Oceania Insignia would make the 180 day voyage from Miami on the 3rd January 2018. She will visit 87 ports of call and cover 39,000 nautical miles, while you settle in to one of the most luxurious ships afloat.

You can use P&O or Cunard if 180 days is too long for you as they offer a shorter alternative of around 114 nights however on Oceania as it’s a longer itinerary you visit more ports and of course have longer there. Insignia will overnight have 16 overnight stays and will take passengers to 56 UNESO World Heritage sites in the most exotic places in the world such as Yangon and Myanmar, Bora Bora and the French Polynesia as well as the Panama Canal, ports in the USA, Africa, Asia and Australia to give you an idea to how in depth this voyage is.

Most think 114 nights is a long time, so would you cruise for 180? After all Insignia is only 30,000 gross tons, but benefits from only 684 passengers cutting down those long queues for tenders and disembarking in ports and her size means she can get in to the smaller ports of call.

Guests choosing to do the full 180 day voyage will be invited to special events in certain ports, such as lunch whilst in Auckland in the stunning Sky Tower giving un-interrupted views across this amazing city.

So who is wanting to take the plunge and spend 180 days on the Insignia? Sign me up!
