Carnival name the second Vista Ship!

news-vista-seatrial

Carnival Vista has been sailing in Europe this summer since her launch back in May, and to say she has gone down well would be an understatement. Carnival has done the best thing they could and offered guests the chance to cruise on her as in some cases three times less than what Royal Caribbean have wanted for the Harmony of the Seas.

Carnival Vista has been sailing from Barcelona and Athens, and again offering some good itineraries, which is more than what can be said for some of the other big ships in Europe with rather bland ports of call.

Carnival pulled out of Europe a couple of years ago and used the Carnival Vista to make the debut on their return back to Europe but future plans are rather shady at the moment. The 133,500 gross ton vessel is the largest in the carnival fleet and features all the added extras you would expect from a new cruise ship from Sky-ride which is bicycles suspended from a rail over the aft part of the pool deck, a full waterpark for the children and adults if you dare. Private cabanas and adult only areas, an array of dining and entertainment venues, IMAX Theater and even a Brewery. She is a ship built to please all ages and that is what she has spent the past couple of months doing!

Now AKA Carnival Vista 2 has been named – Carnival Horizon, again like the Vista, it gives a connection with the sea. She will be launched in March 2018 and will have all the great features found on the Carnival Vista and more I suspect as time goes by.

Although no itineraries or homeport has been given for Carnival Horizon, Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Lines has said that she will be launched in Europe.

Have you been on the Vista, would you book for the Horizon?
