Should I tip or should I not?

It’s the same old debate to what to do about the tips or gratuities as they call it on a cruise ship. Some cruise lines let you pre book and pay in advance and then you don’t need to worry and the others add it to your on board account on a daily basis. That can be a pain as you need to budget for that before you even make one purchase on board, plus some people like to tip themselves at the last day of the cruise so what to do? I think it’s down to personal preference, it’s easy for the Americans as in the US tipping is in the culture and you tip almost anywhere you go for services not just in the Tourism industry but in the UK people just don’t tip, even in restaurants it’s not expected as it is in the US. Personally I go with the flow and sometimes I pre pay and sometimes I pay on board, it works out the same so no difference to me, what do you think?
