Regent Explorer Part 3

The second night we had dinner at the Pacific Rim which is a special Asian cuisine. From the enormous bronze Prayer Wheel at it’s entrance,to the dining,service and ambiance within,everything about Pacific Rim is impressive.The food was amazing, the best Asian food I have had. Shortly after ordering, we were offered a delectable signature cocktail, carefully designed to prepare your appetite for the Asian cuisine to follow. Every dish, from the deliciously Tempura Soft Shell Crab, to the Aromatic Duck with smoked Hoisin sauce, and Chinese Barbecue Ribs that fall off the bone, is a culinary marvel. And while these dishes are incredible to enjoy individually, I would recommend sharing with the people you are dining with so as to enjoy as many dishes as possible as they are amazingly good. The next day we were off to some wine tasting trip in the afternoon The tour took us to the tiny old village of Bolgheri and we had a little time to walk around this charming village lost in time. The wine was very nice and there was no pressure on us to buy some but it was very tempting and we also had a lecture about the wine making process which was very interesting and made me think how much time and effort goes into it and that’s why sometimes wine can be expensive. On the way back the coach drove in the Tuscan countryside and the scenery was amazing. That evening we dined at the Chartreuse which the entrance was like walking down a cobbled street in Paris, and like Paris, The flavours in each dish exude an understated richness that will leave you wanting more. Although I have enjoyed very much the food that I have ordered that was not my favorite place to eat , as Prime 7 and Pacific Rim were better for me. We didn’t have time to eat at the main Compass Rose restaurant which I am sure is very good. The next morning it was time to say goodbye, sadly and take the transfer back to Rome airport for the flight back home.
