I was lucky enough last week to be invited on board the beautiful brand new MS Emily Bronte in Koln, Germany. We flew from here just for the day and taken by Riviera Travel to see this magnificent ship. The ship itself was stunning in design and well equipped with all the up to date facilities that I will list below:

- Lounge and bar to enjoy cocktails and the early risers’ breakfast

- Spa and wellness area featuring Nail Salon and Hairdressing Service

- Small splash pool and putting green on the Sun Deck
- 24hr self service station for complimentary tea & coffee .
- The cabins I saw were spacious and beautifully designed with all mods con, even the cheaper cabins with just a window were very nice and I liked the fact that all cabins had a Nespresso coffee machine. All sockets are British as well so you don’t need an adapter. The other thing I didn’t know is they have 4-5 single cabins that they sell at no single supplement so it’s a really good option for singles. The sailings are mainly from Koln to Basel on the Rhine. Full board is included and so are excursions but drinks and tips are extra. I was surprised though how reasonable were the drinks prices in the menu, although you can add an all inclusive drinks package at just £99 per person for the week but in my view you don’t need it. We were invited for lunch on board as well which was very tasty. I would recommend sailing with Riviera and try it for yourself!
