Polar Bears at a price….

Would you pay £12000 to see polar bears and whales? I don’t think I would personally but Crystal Cruises has announced it will offer a “once-in-a-lifetime” trip to experience the environmental devastation of the Arctic. The cruise is not until 16 August 2016 and Crystal are selling it from £12000 to £27000 per person depends on the grade of cabin. It will be a 32 day expedition to see seals, whales and polar bears although Crystal are saying there is no guarantee to catch a glimpse of a polar bear…. They will be using a mode of transport that emits three times more CO2 per passenger per mile than a jumbo jet. The cruise line is being criticised by social media by helping to ruin the environment which defeats the object here. They even describe this as an “environmental disaster tourism”. I hope they will see some polar bears, after paying all that money and ruining the environment it will be a shame not to! what do think?
