22 sleeps…

Sorry I am going to become ‘that’ person who feels the need to countdown to her holiday every day.  In fact I take back my apology as I do love a countdown.  We have just three weeks (and one night) until we head off on our amazing Caribbean cruise.  The weather has been very cold in Scotland the past few days so we are well in need of some sunshine!!!  Over the past week we have been going through our check list of things to do and we are done I think…

Is lounging for you?

The countdown is well and truly on.  This time in five weeks we will be tucked up in our Gatwick Airport hotel bed for the night.  In fact we may even be up having a couple of pre-holiday wines.  We don’t fly until 1pm on the Friday so can afford to stay up a little later as check in doesn’t open until 10am.  Now one thing I hate about checking in sooooo far ahead of your flight is the time you are left hanging around the airport spending money while you wait.  Over the last few years we have found a great solution for this which I am going to tell you about…

Stacey’s Port Guides – Labadee

We are off in just a few weeks on our amazing Caribbean cruise.  Now I am not one for a lot of excursions but I do want to get off in Labadee – the private island in Haiti owned by Royal Caribbean.  We have been looking at excursions and here are our three favourites.

My second blog – by Millie (aged 6 and 1/2)

Hello, it’s me Millie again.  I am now on my summer holidays from school and having a lot of fun.  I start in Primary 3 in two weeks.  Mummy is  taking me to London this weekend with Aunty Lou and Jack Jack.  I am so excited as we are going to see Aladdin and then the Athletics.  Mummy has ordered me some ear defenders in case the noise of the crowd is too loud for me.  I lost my first top tooth the other day and my second one is almost ready to come out.  This means I am a really big girl now!

Our family weekend away!

As we are off on our big holiday in October, we have decided to take a couple of little breaks in the summer to break up the 7 weeks Millie is off.  Last week we had time booked off to head down South.  Unfortunately our car broke down just as we were leaving Dumfries but we managed to hire a brand new car which has made me very sad  that I can’t keep it.

My First Cruise – By Millie (Aged 6)

Hello.  I am called Millie.  My Mummy is called Stacey and she works selling lots of lovely cruises.  I love playing with my friends and my best friend is called Sophie.  I am in Primary 2 at school and won a silver medal today at Sports Day.  A fortnight ago I went on my first cruise holiday.  Mummy and Kevin took me on a big ship called the Celebrity Eclipse.  Mummy is now going to ask me some questions about the cruise.

Stacey’s Port Guides – Le Havre

I am off to join the Celebrity Eclipse on Friday for her mini cruise to Paris.  Well they call it Paris but it actually calls into Le Havre.  We are planning to stay on the ship and enjoy the facilities but here is what you could do if you are there for the day 🙂

A little taste of luxury!

I can’t believe we are now into May which means the month I get to travel on the Celebrity Eclipse.  We are all excited, especially as it is Kevin and Millie’s first time on a ship.  A lot of my good friends are going too so it will be great to all get together.  Millie says that she wants to get to the children’s club so I don’t think I will see her much.  We travel down to Southampton the day before the cruise and we are going out for a nice meal and some cocktails.  The cruise is then two nights, a quick hop across to Le Havre and back.  We aren’t planning to leave the ship, just want to enjoy the facilities for a weekend.

New York New York – Restaurants

One of the things I love about going to a new city is all the new restaurants you can try!  Now we weren’t super adventurous in the places but we did eat very well.  Here are the places we tried out –
