As it is mostly about the places to visit, if you are purely interested in the destinations alongside getting nice meals and good service then this is the type of holiday for you.  Since many cities developed and expanded from their Rivers the advantage of a river cruise is that you will stop right in the centre of the location you are going to, allowing guests to spend longer in each place and maximize the time for sightseeing. Not to forget some river cruise companies include all the excursions and all the drinks on board or just during the meals. Also, most river cruises include the gratuities so there is no need to tip extra, it’s a nice peace of mind to know there isn’t going to be a huge bill at the end of your holiday. Usually the ship is in port during the evening giving guests the possibility to get off again after dinner and have another stroll if they wish to. I would compare river cruising with the boutique type accommodation/holiday but with the advantage of seeing lots more places.
