A mini cruise to remember……..

I’ve just come back form a cheeky three night mini cruise with the girls so I thought I would give you a sneaky peak at some of our best bits.

We were a large party of twelve with a mixture of friends, some who had met through Cruise.co.uk. Some of us are still here but others had moved on to pastures new, so it’s always nice to catch up with everybody to see what people have been up to and what’s new in their lives. Not everybody knew each other which was also nice as we all got on famously.

We also had a few girls who had never cruised before so again, for them it was a totally new experience.

We headed out from Southampton last Thursday on ‘Independence of the Sea’s’ for three nights with a one day stop in Cherbourg. The ship was great, full of life and an exciting atmosphere with everybody looking forward to the Royal Wedding.

We mainly ate our full body weight in fine dining, drank like fish and partied to the early hours of the morning, after all what’s a mini cruise for………

Saturday was a day to remember with the ship showing the Royal wedding on the big Pool Screen, people had inflatable crowns and Megan & Harry masks, I will always remember where I was when I watched this Wedding, in a hot tub with a Strawberry Daquiri, soaking up the sunshine in France. Everybody sang along to ‘Stand By Me’ and there were certainly a few tears shed too.

The shows were great we watched the Ice show & Greece which was fab and also Celebrated Caroline Kyle’s Birthday on board too.

This was a great weekend, one not to be forgotten in a hurry, I think many of us are still recovering, thanks girls for a great weekend, here’s to the next one……………….
