My Holiday is finally here

I’ve had my holiday booked since December last year and it’s finally here, It was my mum’s 60th birthday in October and as many of my customer’s will know they always go to India (Goa) for 6 months of the year, so we thought with it being her 60th birthday then we would go out and see them for two weeks and make it a special family holiday.

We’ve been counting down the days for ages now, my suit case has been packed for over three weeks (I know that’s really early) but when you work full time and have a 2 year old daughter you have to get things done early. I’ve been to Goa before about 17 years ago and I loved it, I know it will have changed loads since I was last there but were all really looking forward to it.  My mum and dad have sorted us two apartments out and you really can’t go wrong with a brand new apartment at £10 per night this is for the apartment not per person so a real bargain. where staying in Candolim now I never visited this resort when I went I stayed in Calangute and would often walk into baga so it will be really nice to see another Resort. My mum and dad have also booked us three nights in Palolem so were really looking forward to that too which is in the south of Goa. My Sister is a bit posh and likes things like you get in a five star hotel (so she’s going to have a real shock when she gets to Goa, I keep trying to show her pictures but she won’t look (can’t wait to see her face when we get there) but like I keep telling her its really nice yes it is a culture shock when you get there but I loved it.

Each year I’ve always done my mum and dads visa’s for Goa and last year when they decided to do a five year visa which was music to my ears as I hated doing them, then we all decide to go so a few weeks ago I took the plunge and decided to start all five of them for us, if you’ve ever had to do your own India visa then you know where I’m coming from, you have to fill in the form which asks you everything and I mean everything, all about your mother and fathers details do you any marks ie moles, scars , where do you work etc, then you have to take a photo of your photo page of your passport download it and this has to be done in a size that they require, then you have to take a photo of your self and make sure this is the correct size, then you pay for your visa which is around £62 per person, then you have the long wait of between 24-72 hours to see if its been granted and if it hasn’t due to something being wrong on the photo, then they make you pay again. as you can imagine doing 5 of these I wasn’t looking forward to it at all. But luckily enough all five came back Granted and now we can finally look forward to flying out on the 27/11/17.

Have you been to India and what did you think of it? let me know your thoughts.

I will see you all in two weeks.
