Fred Olsen Black Watch

Black Watch

Fred Olsen Black watch to have a  massive multi-million-pound refit next month which will include a ship-wide refurbishment, upgraded in-cabin technology, new restaurants, new decor and new designs for the pubs and bars on-board. The 804-passenger ship will depart Tilbury on 18th of November and enter dry dock in Germany on the 20th of November  for a 26 day refit, which will also include engineering works. The 44-year-old ship will re-enter service on December 15, for a Christmas Markets Cruise from Tilbury.

I’ve never been on a Fred Olsen ship i should have gone on one last Christmas for our annual Christmas party but i was in Spain so i didn’t get the chance, I’ve heard many good reports from customer’s about Fred Olsen and a lot of my customer’s like them due to the size of the ships with them being smaller ships, they do a really good drinks package that only starts from £10 per person per night you really can’t go wrong with this price for a drinks package even if you only have the soft drinks it’s really worth the price.

You know it’s that time of year now the summer has gone and all the ships that are due to have refurbishments are now getting ready to go and have the work done, i would love to go and see the Black Watch once she’s had her re-fit i can imagine that she will look lovely here is a list of the things that will change on the black watch.

As you know from one of my last blogs that the Black Watch had a fire in July, the fire broke out on the ship causing significant damage and causing the cruise to be curtailed, passengers flown home and the ship taken to Spain for repairs.

The refurbishment includes:

hat do you think to the new changes that she’s having? have you been on the Black Watch before? Let me know your thoughts on this.
