I love a classic Disney film and i am really looking forward to the live action version of Beauty and the Beast soon to be released in cinemas. So of course when i read that Adventures by Disney have released some new themed river cruises for 2018, ones inner child began to emerge. That’s right Beauty and the Beast themed experiences on the Rhine River sailings.
These exclusive sailings are with AMAWaterways on their Rhine River Cruises and better yet they are all inclusive. Expect a specially themed dinner and other culinary experiences inspired by the film as well as movie nights showing both the live action film and the animated classic. There will also be an excursion available to Riquewhir which inspired the two films.
Other highlights of the Rhine River cruises include the famous Heidelberg Castle, Explore the Black Forest which inspired the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, Chocolate Museum and Chocolate making. You can also choose from a fleet of bicycles on board available for guests to use at all ports.
You wouldn’t think that River Cruises would cater well for families or children. However their junior activity program allows them to take part in cooking classes, movie nights, games and many other activities. Adults can also expect movie nights, karaoke, magic shows and local dancers.
Adventures by Disney also have adult exclusive food and wine cruises. Here you can enjoy wine tasting, gourmet food tasting and workshops, local beer and wine pairings, culinary walking tours and much more.
Another adult exclusive sailing will include Oktoberfest sailing in September 2018. This special itinerary with visit Germany during the iconic celebration and will feature the likes of festive themed parties and culinary treats both on ship and off ship.
We have just recently returned from Budapest so i’m keen to knock off some more of Europe’s beautiful rivers from the list. I could probably convince the other half to do the Oktoberfest sailing as a honeymoon idea.
These kinds of itineraries and activities have made me rethink my perception of River Cruises. Would any of you out there consider it? Leave your comments i’d love to know.
