A ship so unlike a ship.

Yes you guessed it I am referring to Royal Caribbean’s newest edition to their fleet Harmony of the Seas.Harm in port

Well she arrived into Southampton last week towering over the City Terminal. She cost $1.5 billion (£1million) to build and took over two years under construction. So what does she have to offer. At 1,188 feet she is taller than the Shard building in London. Will hold wait for it, 6,780 passengers! wow, 2100 crew, 18 decks, 23 swimming pools, 42 bars and lounges (now that’s a pub crawl) a shopping district, ice rink, Central Park,
Broadwalk area with Carousel. And so much more you will have to see it to believe it.harm at night

Quite a few of my colleagues were on board and the feed back and live blogs were amazing. The main comments were in the words of Edward who is actually texting me live from her now “It’s mind blowing, doesn’t feel like a ship at all”. The younger Cruise.Co staff loved the Ultimate Abyss ?
a 10 storey slide that is 150 feet above sea level. You board from a glass platform looking right down 9 decks into the Broadwalk District. You ride at around 9 miles an hour on a custom made mat wizzing through tunnels with various audio effects. I am far too old for any of that business.

Once inside the ship you then start to feel like she is a ship again with the Royal Promenade full of lots of entertainment venues and place to eat and drink and people watch. har, prom

I have only just touched the surface on this Mind Blowing ship have a look at our live reports I would love to know what you think.
