What’s Your Tipple ?

Many people like to budget not only for the cost of their cruise but for the whole trip, including tips, excursions and drinks throughout. Drinks prices can vary as does the cost of drinks packages, so it is important if you decide to purchase a drinks package  to ensure you are getting the right one for you or you could be be throwing your hard earn cash down the drain!
Classic , Premium, New Grands, Mealtime Restaurant, Unlimited Soda and All inclusive Deluxe are just a small selection of the various different options available by some of the cruise lines and each package is different from the next. If you like a specific brand of drink then you may need to opt for a premium or deluxe package as these generally cover a wide selection of premium brands. There is also dedicated wine packages, as well a packages just for water or soda or coffee. Sounds confusing ?

Here is a selection of packages which are  available with some of the cruise lines.

MSC

Beer Package – a total of 14 beers – either draught , bottled or canned selected from the bar or wine list

Wine and Water package easy – 4 Bottle of wine (selected bottles) and  7 1litre bottles of mineral water

Mealtime restaurant drinks Package – Unlimited wine by the glass (selected wines) , draught beer, mineral water and soft drinks during lunch and dinner available in the main on board restaurants and self service buffet.

All inclusive Restaurant and Bar – Unlimited Spirits (premium Brands excluded)liqueurs, aperitifs, selection of cocktails, wines by the glass (selected wines) beers, sodas, fruit juices, mineral water, espresso, cappuccino and other classic hot drinks

All Inclusive Deluxe  drinks Package – As above with the addition of premium branded spirits, Premium cocktails,premium mineral water, energy drinks , drinks from the themed bar menus.

Soft drink package – 14 canned sodas or fruit juices

Coffee Package – 15 coffee drinks including cappuccino, espresso,caffelatte,frozen coffee delights as well as hot chocolate and tea

Royal Caribbean 

Cafe Select Coffee Card- enjoy 15 specialty espresso based coffees, premium teas or hot chocolate

Classic soda Package – Unlimited fountain soda refills with a free souvenir Coca-Cola cup

Refreshment Package – A selection of premium coffees and teas, bottled water , fresh squeezed juices , non alcoholic cocktails , plus fountain soda with a free souvenir Coca-Cola cup

Deluxe Beverage Package – Selected cocktails, spirits, liqueurs,wines, beer, soda,bottled water , fresh squeezed juice , mocktails, premium teas and coffees ( individual drink value is up to $12)
