Meghan 'The Princess' of Cruising

Ruby Ruby Ruby Ruby ……..

"Dubrovnik, Croatia - 27 September 2011: Ruby Princess Cruiser leaving the harbour on September 27, 2011 in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The ship is 290m long and a capacity of over 4000 people."

Jane McDonald sails again, this time on the lovely Ruby Princess from Los Angeles.

As you may or may not be aware Channel 5 have commissioned the 3rd series of  ‘Cruising with Jane Mcdonald’  On Friday the 9th February 2018 the episode was based on the Ruby Princess.  I was particularly looking forward to this episode as I have recently returned from a holiday with my family to Los Angeles and San Francisco and was keen to see the wonderful sights I have just visited.

Ruby Princess has been based in the Port of Los Angeles throughout the Winter months offering 4, 5 and 7 night holidays. A typical 7 night stay on board The Ruby Princess will include the following ports of call

Los Angeles, California, San Francisco, California, Monterey, California, San Diego, California, Ensenada, Mexico, Los Angeles, California

Whilst in Los Angeles Jane did a little bit of shopping in Beverley Hills, took a stroll down the Hollywood walk of fame and checked out the views at Santa Monica Beach.

San Francisco is also a city not too miss out on. Take a stroll along Lombard Street the  “Crookedest Street in the World”  this is one of  San Francisco’s most popular landmarks, trust me it is steep!!  The best way to view this fantastic city is by open top bus, you get a hop on hop off ticket which gives you the perfect opportunity to see the sights of the Golden Gate Bridge, a trip through China Town and stop off at Pier 39 to see the Sea Lions that are now permanent residents of the city. The highlight of San Francisco for Me was a visit to Alcatraz, The Rock, Once home to some of America’s most notorious criminals.

One of my favourite holiday pictures.

This is what happens when you are naughty Megan !!!   Locked up in Alcatraz.

So if you watched the programme and fancy taking a trip around the Californian Coastline, I can certainly recommend adding On a few nights before or after your cruise in Los Angeles to experience the city of angels.   As you can imagine many sailings are now selling out fast so please contact me if you would like a personal quotation on packages we can offer for the Lovely Ruby Princess or any other cruise for that matter.

Till next time
