There are just so many cabins at sea – Lee Cruises

There are just so many cabins at sea

Have ever thought about how many ships there are out there?  Obviously I deal with cruises on a daily basis and book so many different brands from Luxury Brands like Regent and Silverseas to the (what we call in the trade ) mass market brands like Royal Caribbean, Princess and MSC  to name a few.  I sometimes look at the amount of ships out there and especially the amount of larger ships with maximum capacity for over 6000 passengers and there are more of these MASSIVE ships coming in 2017/18 and beyond.

So I stumbled across this list (Credit to Wikipedia) the other day and wanted to share it with you.  It outlines 65 of the biggest ships out there over 100,000 gross tonnes.  So we are talking maximum passenger capacities from 34700 to a whopping 6360.

And thats just 65 ships over 100,000 gross Tonnes – I couldn’t even imagine what the list would look like if I then went through all of the ships under that gross tonnage.

The point here is – Cruising just gets bigger and bigger, and I mean bigger in terms of the amount of people that want to cruise.  Because of the Capacity out there it is making for some great prices and definitely making cruising more accessible to all.

so here is that list :
