Oceana to sail from Dubai…..

P & O have announced this week that Oceana fly-cruise  program is to be based in Dubai for winter 2019..

She will be sailing out of Dubai. A diverse city  with its sky scrapers,  amazing shopping  malls and fantastic  theme parks. Take a jeep safari on the sand dunes or take a trip up the worlds highest tower the Burj Khalifa. With its tropical desert climate it offers a perfect winter sunshine destination.

Shes going to be offering 10 and 20 night sailings,  with flights from London,  Manchester, Birmingham & Glasgow. You will be able to have the option to extend your stay with a city break in Dubai, either before or after your cruise. Prices starting from £1399 for the 10 nights. There is also an option to do a re-positioning cruise 20 nights from Southampton on the 10th January 2019.

Here are a few of the ports she will be calling in at. Abu Dhabi which with its skyscrapers and shopping malls, it still retains its ancient past. Visit the Sheikh Zayed grand mosque featuring an immense Persian carpet and crystal chandeliers. You could also take a trip to Ferrari world a Motorsport themed entertainment complex.

Omans capital Muscat is packed with history and culture surrounded by mountains and desert, it mixes high rise with cliff top landmarks such as the 16th century Portuguese forts is Al Jalali and Mirani. Bahrain may be one of the smallest countries in Asia however it has lots to offer. For architectural and cultural wonders, head to the grand Al Fateh Mosque, or  Beit Al Quran, or any of the country’s well preserved forts with foundations dating from 3000bc. The city’s thriving Bab al-Bahrain bazaar offers wares ranging from colorful handwoven fabrics and spices to pearls.

For a relaxing day Sir Bani Yas island offers pearl diving, scuba diving and an array of water sports.
