Norwegian Fjords Here I Come…

On Thursday I’m heading to London Tilbury and embarking on an 8 night sailing to the Norwegian Fjords on Cruise & Maritime’s Magellan. I’ve never been to the Fjords and it’s one to tick off my bucket list I cannot wait…

I’ve just received my joining details and it looks like it’s going to be an exciting 9 days. This is a familiarisation trip with Cruise & Maritime and they are hosting agents from not only cruise.co.uk but agents from all over the UK.

I need to get to Tilbury from Durham. I’m heading down to the port first by train to London kings cross then I need to cross over to Victoria where Cruise & Maritime provided a coach to Tilbury on sailing days and customers can book this with their cruise.

The Itinerary I’m doing is called Majestic Fjordland taking in Amsterdam, Eidfjord, cruising Hardangerfjord, Flam, cruising Sognefjord, Olden, cruising the Nordfjord, and Bergen then back to London Tilbury

Cruise & Maritime have arranged a full itinerary for us so I will be experiencing lots of the excursions they have on offer for customers. Our first stop is Amsterdam we arrive on kings day this a really big celebration in Amsterdam and we have been told to dress in Orange to be part of the celebrations. I’m really looking forward to the Flam railway this is an excursion that gets booked up really quickly so I’m very fortunate to have a seat reserved. From Olden, I also visit the Birksdal Glacier one if the most accessible arms of the mighty  Jostedalsbreen, this is one of the most visited glaciers in Norway. In Bergen, I have an introduction to Bergen and the Funicular with its stunning views.
