Going Glamping……………………………

Anyone that knows me knows I love Turkey, after owning my own home there for many years, decided to have a change and travel about this year, booked my flight and have found an award winning glamping holiday in the village of KayaKoy near Olu Deniz. The reviews are amazing, just 4 yurts and a lovely pool in a rural setting offering traditional Turkish village breakfasts  and after noon teas.

All the Yurts are built on a raised wooden platform to make it cool and dry also  close to nature with the added comfort of home, such as running hot water and electric. Each yurt has its own private wet room with a hot shower and toilet, so there will be no running around dark fields in the night. Other amenities are a cosy double bed, a snug sitting area, mini fridge, tea making facilities and wifi. Each of our yurts are individually decorated with either Ottoman or English themes making their designs unique and very attractive.

There are loads of activities in the nearby area, horse riding, camel rides, Spa days, quad biking and of course the famous paragliding at Olu Deniz, along with jeep safaris and fishing trips

If we fancy some nightlife its just a short drive to Hisaronu  which is  perched on a mountain plateau with an abundance of nightclubs, cocktail bars and every type of restaurant you can imagine.

However the highlight for me will be visiting the lovely Fethiye with its yacht lined harbour and numerous rock tombs, will be visiting the Fish Market  for fresh Sea bass and king prawns with the obligatory bottle of Raki.

Current temperatures are a roasting hot 42 degrees, and 4.5 lira to the £, so my count down now begins just 35 days today and hopefully will be sitting with a cocktail or 2 at my Glamping site, wish me luck……………………………………..
