Fred Olsen have made some positive changes to customers that have to cancel their cruise by offering them the opportunity to
hold their deposit for 3 months in order to not lose it.

This is a great positive move, they have always given the customers the opportunity to transfer their deposit to another sailing subject to an admin fee however sometimes customers are not in a position to make new arrangements at the point of cancelling. This is often the case with a family bereavement or sudden illness.

The 3 months grace allows customers to deal with the reasons for cancelling first and then when time allows they can look at their options.

It is a win win situation for both the customer and Fred Olsen and also for the insurance companies who will hopefully have fewer insurance claims which will help us all.
