Back to reality

So on Monday i dragged myself out of bed to my desk after 2 weeks off which included a week in Cape Verde. Once i sat down at my desk i got straight back into the swing of things and i am glad to be back booking everyone else on there next cruise Holiday.

Cape Verde was fantastic, if you read my previous blog you will know that i have been to 5 star resorts in Turkey for the past 5 years so fancied something a bit different. To be honest the whole resort concept thing in Cape Verde is pretty much the same as Turkey but the staff are a bit more relaxed, the have a saying NO STRESS. Sometimes service could be a little slow, for example at the bars in Turkey the bar man is serving 3 people at once but in Cape Verde its one person at a time. Cape Verde is still really up and coming and i suppose this is new to quiet a lot of the staff, some could hardly speak English so trying to order a Cheese burger with no salad or sauce proved a bit tricky and the order of course was wrong, luckily we didn’t encounter this staff member again.

The weather was lovely, really different from anywhere i have been before. The morning always started off cloudy and sometimes it stayed like this for most of the day but even on the cloudy days the sun was so strong and we still managed to get burnt !! my 6 year old son said hes never going back to Cape Verde as he doesn’t ever remember getting burnt in Turkey.

We didn’t leave the resort but if you do get cabin fever there is plenty of excursions you can do. Defiantly a holiday you can make as Chilled or as active as you like. Would i return ? Probably but not for a few years as i do still prefer Turkey. I am actually hoping to do our first family cruise next year instead.
