Where’s September gone?

What a busy month September has been so far ….
I had a lovely week away in Gran Canaria with my daughter before she flew the nest to start her university course in Manchester.
We stayed at the Valle Taurito Hotel in Taurito and had a lovely time.
The resort is a cluster of seven hotels in a bay with a large pool area in the middle , plenty of shops to wander around in an evening and a lovely beach where we spent most days .
The food in the hotel was excellent with lots of choices and a different theme everyday at the cooking station .
It’s a long time since I’ve done a resort holiday and I did miss the different ports everyday that you have on a cruise but it was a lovely quiet resort , the perfect place to chill and have that quality time with Eliie before she left home.
A short taxi ride away was the harbour port of Playa Morgan which had lots of restaurants and of course some nice cocktail bars where I sampled a few Pina Coladas, it would of been rude not to!

When we came home it was a quick turnaround to take Connor to Hull for his second year at university and settle him into his new home for the next 2 years .
Sam has started back at Preston Uclan and Heather has returned from her summer in Portugal where she’s been working in a surf school and is back at college for her last year.
I did manage to fit a bit of work in and then the day came last Saturday that I took Ellie to Manchester to her flat for her 3 years studying at Man Met Uni for fashion buying and merchandising.
Leaving her in a big city was as scary for me as it was for her.
Over the last few days she seems to be settling in ok and so far enjoying her course which is a huge relief for us.
We are still getting used to a quiet house with Jacko the dog wondering where everyone has gone.
Three children now at uni and Heather going next year means I need to get some work done and book you all some lovely cruises…..
