I was so excited when I got the call I cannot tell you! And now, of course, it’s all go, go,go. They are thinking Autumn next year for the wedding and are currently looking for a venue. This might be more tricky than usual though as the venue will need to be dog-friendly as my daughter is quite adamant that their two-year-old Cocker Poo is going to be the ring-bearer – I know, I can’t quite believe it either!
We already have a couple of wedding fayre’s lined up. There is so much more to this wedding malarky than there was in my day honestly. Back then these things were far less complicated. That said, I am as excited as the happy couple and am thoroughly looking forward to the planning and preparation over the coming months leading up to the big day. It is going to be a truly magical time indeed.
And never mind the brides dress, as the Mother of the bride I am going to need a fabulous outfit too. I can see some long shopping trips ahead, along with a diet beforehand!
All in all this is the best news I have had in a long time. I shall keep you updated as we go along. One thing’s for sure, we won’t be having the Hen Do on a P&O short cruise now that they have changed their dress code and alcohol policy! Let’s hope Royal Caribbean or Celebrity have some short cruises on offer early next year, after all a Hen Do wouldn’t be a Hen Do if it wasn’t on a ship!
For now, happy cruising, and a very happy Easter to you all.
