MSC Seaside – a serious contender for 2017?

Have you heard about the new MSC ship currently being built in readiness for her December 2017 unveiling?

The marketing hype is building and from what I’ve seen and heard so far, she will have some pretty impressive ‘bells & whistles’!

Boasting the largest and most interactive Aquapark at Sea!  

According to the hype, she will be the first cruise ship to feature ‘Slide boarding technology’, combining a slide and an interactive game – the cutting edge of water park technology.   Excuse me for being a bit of a cynic, but what more can you do but sit at the top and slide down??

So as well as 5 slides to choose from you can also enjoy a 2 tier Amusement Park, and an Adventure Trail which includes rope swings and obstacle courses. There’s also  a full size Bowling Alley, if you still have some energy left!

Now.. that’s the kids sorted.  What about the adults?

Well..  First on my list of must-do’s  is the World Famous Cirque Du Soleil Amazing Acrobatic shows, which will be a daily feature on board. Followed swiftly by enjoying the entertainment in one of the Comedy Clubs.   And when you get hungry after all that activity –  You can choose from 9 food outlets (4 themed) as well as 20 bars!  Happy days!

And for all you techno-geeks out there, you’ll love the Smart wristband technology for onboard payments – and you can even ‘geo-locate’ the kiddies! Although I’m guessing most of them will be in the Aquapark!

Oh and did I mention MSC have gone and bought themselves their own Private Island  (as you do…..) MSC Ocean Cay Marine Reserve which features Private Bungalows and Massage Huts in their Spa &Wellness Sanctuary.  a 2000 seat Amphitheatre with  live entertainment.  You can even get married there in their Exclusive Pavillion!  It looks stunning, idyllic, and a fantastic place to unwind on one of its 6 beaches.  And dont worry if you feel a little peckish whilst relaxing in the sun – there’s plenty of restaurants and bars here as well!
