Will there be anything left come this summer?

You really must be living under a rock if you had failed to notice the weather this weekend.  It seems long overdue that the UK was blessed with any rays of sunshine.  Living up in Sunderland, I was starting to think I was getting a Vitamin D deficiency.  So, I certainly made the most of it where I could.

Weather like that, always makes you think of holidays.  On a beach or the lido deck, sipping an ice-cold cocktail – Total Bliss!

Well if this weather got you thinking about holidays, especially one for this year, and you haven’t got one booked yet, then its time to get your skates on!

The 2018 season has been a good year for cruises, more people than ever want to take to the seas for their annual holiday, helped (I think) by cruise having a much-increased profile on national TV thanks to the likes of The Cruise on ITV and even last nights Building Giants featuring MSC Meraviglia (if you didn’t watch it, it is worth a watch on All 4).

You might read this and think, well what does that have to do with me booking a holiday?  Well with more people booking a cruise, the availability of cabins left to sell for 2018 is nowhere near what is usually is.  With fewer cabins left to sell, the cruise lines are not inclined to reduce their cabin prices last minute, as they know that they will probably sell regardless.  With cabin numbers dwindling every day, it could mean that they start to increase prices as we get closer to summer, to respond to increased demand.

As I said before, if you want to be sailing the Mediterranean with that cocktail in your hand with a cocktail in your hand this summer, the time to book really is now.

If you miss out don’t say I didn’t warn you.  (Blame Jane McDonald and her TV Show)
