This weekend I am off to Liverpool for a few days. I have been to Liverpool before a few years ago and really enjoyed it. This time we are going to see a show on the first night. I booked The Bodyguard Musical for my husband’s birthday last year and so we will be watching that on the first night. I saw the musical myself in Birmingham last year and thought he would enjoy it. I don’t know what the theatre will be like but I am hoping that the seats we have chosen are in a good location. We are stopping at the Hilton this time while we are there and have also booked into a restaurant for the second evening at Albert Docks. We are actually going to one of the restaurants we went to last time we were in Liverpool. Last time we went we did all of the tourist things and did the Beatles museum so this time we will just spend some time shopping. I am sure we will make our way to the Cavern Club one day and will have a few drinks in there. It is such a good venue and it is easy to spend a few hours in there with the live entertainment. We spend 2 nights in Liverpool and then on our way home we plan to stop off at Chester Zoo. We have been wanting to go to Chester Zoo for a while now and just haven’t made it. After watching the TV programme based on the Zoo itself it has made us want to take it in this time. We are hoping to do this on the way home but it depends on the weather as the forecast isn’t looking too good. I am looking forward to having a few days away and then we also have Bank Holiday Monday on our return.
