Face Lift for Fred!

Fred Olsen have to be one of my favourite cruise lines and they have recently announced that Black Watch which is their most popular ship is going to have a refit.  The Black Watch will undergo a multi million dollar refit ready for the 2017/2018 season.  The ship is going to a shipyard in Hamburg in November this year where various things will be underway including engineering and general maintenance.  The ship will also have several public area and facilities added.  The ship will be in dry dock for 26 days and will have major upgrades to cabins and public areas so they can keep up the expectations on its passengers.  very cabin across the ship will have new interactive TV systems fitted and will have the latest features and connectivity.  The bathrooms will also be refurbished and each cabin will have a safe and mini bar.  During the refit the Braemar Courtyard will be turned into a speciality restaurant offering a la carte.  The main dining room Glentanar will have a new layout and new carpet and curtains and the Garden Cafe will also become a new restaurant.  The cinema on board will be upgraded with the latest 3D technology.  After the refit Black Watch will recommence the cruise season with a cruise departing 15 Dec 2016.  I am sure that the other Fred Olsen ships will also follow and have upgrades in time to come.  Fred Olsen are such a friendly and homely cruise line and although smaller than a lot of ships they really do offer the service.  I do enjoy cruising with Fred Olsen and think the refurbishment will really help the Black Watch.  I am looking forward to cruising on board the Boudicca this year which will be our Christmas conference.  Fred Olsen are always very popular and I think by keeping the ships in ship shape they will carry on attracting their customers.
