The Mediterranean’s are becoming more British

I am of course talking about none other than MSC Magnifica,  MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) who we all know and love for their own unique Mediterranean feel, however as they are basing this ship out of Southampton for the whole of Summer 2018 they have decided to make a few tweaks to hopefully please the British Market further…

Tea & Coffee Making Facilities in your cabin – now personally, when I am on holiday the last thing I want to be doing is making my own Tea or Coffee, but to some of you I know this is important, so they have listened.

The ship will also have a British Cruise Director, British Comedian and show major British Sporting events.  Various menu variations are set to include – Full English Breakfast, Sunday Roast and a Curry night, along with a selection of British Beers & Ciders and condiments like HP Sauce and Marmite….

Talking of Marmite….For some reason they are a cruise line that is either loved or hated by the British – Yes they are not P&O, they are a Mediterranean Company (it’s in the name !!) and they do cater to a wide range of nationalities but they have truly stunning ships, great service and some of the most fantastic Family facilities (and prices) of ANY cruise line.

When MSC started Cruising in 2002 they carried 80,000 passengers a year – they now do that every week, with an expanding fleet – and they currently have the youngest fleet at Sea – by 2026 they will see their passenger capacity rise to 120,000 passengers a week….. So that is a LOT of people that are obviously happy with them.

Having positioned the MSC Splendida in 2016 and the MSC Preziosa this year in Southampton for early and late summer cruises, MSC have finally made the move to position the MSC Magnifica to Southampton from May – October 2018 and we are already seeing a massive surge in business for this great ship.  Certainly with some current AMAZING offers – a 14 night Cruise in August for a family of 4 for less than £ 4,000…. what is there NOT to love ?
