Happy Saint Patrick’s Day

Happy St Patricks Day everyone, what are we all up to on the great day, This time last year I was in New York with my friends partying on the streets watching the parade which was spectacular I have to admit lovely to part of such a great day, This year is slightly different I am in Manchester Airport tonight ready to fly to Cancun tomorrow to start the celebrations, We are staying in the Riu Cancun for 7 Nights

So, who was Saint Patrick? Saint Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. He was a Christian missionary given credited with converting Ireland to Christianity in the AD 400s. So many legends surround his life that the truth is not easily found. St Patrick was not actually Irish

Saint Patricks day is all about partying having fun wearing green outfits dressing up and drinks lots of Guinness and Whiskey

Food to eat on Saint Patricks day,

• Irish Stew. This comforting stew features tender lamb, hearty carrots and potatoes, all topped off with herb butter.
• Melissa’s Shepherd’s Pie.
• Corned Beef and Cabbage.
• Irish Soda Bread.
• Patrick’s Day Spinach Pancakes and Corned Beef Hash.
