Have you been watching ‘The Cruise’?

I have t say I love nay TV programmes about cruise ships, whether its Jane McDonald on one of her adventures, Mighty Cruise ships showing you the making of a new cruise ship or my current favorite is ‘The Cruise’ based on board Princess cruises amazing ship the Royal Princess.

Even more so because in less then 2 weeks I will be embarking onboard Royal Princess for my first sailing onboard her and watching the show just makes it even more exciting!

The current series is filmed in the Caribbean, my favorite cruise destination making this my all time best series so far! Its great to see how things work behind the scenes from the excursions to bar staff to the cabin stewards. When we board our chosen cruise ship we just experience the fun part, the facilities, dining, drinking , excursions the list is endless but how often do we step back and just consider how everything is running behind the scenes, is the chef stressed out because there is an unexpected sea day? Are the excursions running on time? This makes the show so interesting and gripping, I could watch it all day and just a half hour time slot really isnt long enough in my opinion!

So back to me, I can only wish I was due to be ailing the Caribbean onboard Royal but its not quite that exciting! I will be boarding in Southampton and sailing round to Dublin, visiting Guernsey and Cork en route, I have never visited Cork before so this is a new port to tick of the list! I am planning to cram in as much as possible onboard so look out for my full report of my thoughts of the Royal Princess when I return!
