A New Ship For Southampton!

Royal Caribbean have recently announced that they will be placing the Explorer of the Seas in Southampton for the 2019 summer season, which is fantastic news! The Independence of the seas and navigator of the seas have been based out of Southampton for the past few years so its great to have a shake up and have a different ship to offer, and especially for there repeat Southampton passengers who would like to try out another ship in there fleet!

Normally Explorer is based around Australia and Alaska so this is a completely new region for her to explore across the other side of the world! She will be making her re positioning journey from Australia to Southampton and guests can embark on this journey with her or just part of the journey including Singapore, Malaysia, Mumbai , Dubai and the Suez Canal. Once her UK season ends she will sail across to the Caribbean to spend winter 2019.

The UK loves Independence, she has always been a real hit and firm favorite so as you can imagine Royal Caribbean are keeping Independence who will joining Explorer of the seas and Navigator of the seas is being re positioned out.

Explorer will host an array of itinerary’s during Summer 2019 including the Mediterranean, Canary Islands and Baltic.

So what can you expect? As always Explorer is a high standard liner, part of the Voyager class of ships. She can carry 4029 passengers and you can expect to find some of Royal Caribbean’s signature facilities on board including the ice rink, royal promenade, mini golf, adventure ocean and flow rider.
