Yes you did read this correctly. Cruise and Maritime have announced that their new flagship, soon to be upgraded next month are offering 100% Vegan only menu’s on a cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. I must admit I find this a little odd. If there is a market for this then fantastic. But seriously passengers with Vegan diets have cruised along side meat eaters for decades without a thought of the possibility of this. I will really interested if this books up and Cruise and maritime must have done extension research to see if this would be of interest to clients. They will be offering over 80 menu options for Vegetarians and Vegans on their 7 night sailing from London Tilbury on the 25th of September.
To go compliment the new menu there will also a Fitness and Wellbeing programme with Yoga and Pilates. Along side this there will be demonstrations on how to make Vegan toothpaste and Vegan Cheese. If I was posting this next Saturday (1st of April) I would understand if you thought I was being a fool, but this is genuine. On board there are four guest speakers:
On the other side of things this must be really interesting and exciting if you are Vegan or vegetarian. As I said before I’m not very savvy to the different meals available so it it would be interesting on getting menu ideas.
I wonder how they are going to promote this? I’m guessing there must be magazines and websites ( excuse the ignorance) that they can widely advertise on .
So who knows this could be really successful and something they may offer on other itineraries.
