Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year

This will be my last blog of 2017- can’t believe we are reaching the end of another year. What a year it has been. Reflecting back it started off with a bang with me celebrating my 40th birthday- I know I don’t look a day over 39! It was the year that all my closest friends turned the big four zero, we enjoyed a mini break in Ibiza back in September and surprisingly it was a restful trip away.

This year I am thankful as always for the trips I have been on and experienced with my favorite being the 7 night family holiday on the Navigator of the Seas. My boy’s being the ages of thirteen and ten I didn’t see them. They had such a whale of a time and made friends with two brothers of similar age and spent all their time with them on the sports court. They enjoyed this type of holiday so much we have booked the Independence for next May. Once they saw the improvements Independence is having i.e waterslides, laser room etc they were sold. I’ll let you know how we get on.

As always we ended the year with our works annual conference, which didn’t disappoint. I really enjoy catching up with work colleagues as sometimes we can go a whole year without seeing each other. For the last two years we have been fortunate enough to have a mini cruise but this year was slightly different and we ended up in Butlins Skegness. I know I sell cruise packages but I must take this opportunity to praise Butlins. The accommodation we stayed in was clean, importantly warm and decorated to a modern standard. The staff in the restaurants especially were so friendly and if they didn’t know the answer to the question went off to find out. Their customer service was exceptional and they greeted us with genuine interest. We were on  a full board basis and every restaurant we dined it the food was of high standard. If you ever go I recommend the carrot cake. Here’s to next years!
