Would you like to name the new ship with P&O????

Would you like to name the new ship that P&O that is to be launched in 2020?

P&O have opened to the general public a competition to name the new ship to their fleet in 2020, the ship will be largest built by the British cruise company and at 180,000 tonnes and will accommodate 5,200 passengers. The winning name will be announced next year and the winner themselves will have their chosen name on the side of the ship, as well as being given two VIP places at the ships naming ceremony in Spring 2020.

The new ship will be the first new launch for P&O cruises in five years playing an essential role in redefining the brand. It is very important to have a name that reflects the ships heritage as well as highlighting the opportunities for new cruising experiences.

P&O are encouraging the general public to get thinking about a suitable name that will be remembered for a long time to come.

P&O has said the new ship will be the most environmentally efficient ship within their fleet, with the use of LNG as its primary source of power, which will significantly reduce its exhaust emissions.

The new ship will have 17 places to eat, 12 Bars, 13 entertainment Venues, 16 Whirlpools and 4 Swimming Pools ( One with a retractable Roof). Even the cabins on the new ship will be a little different as they have been inspired by British Airways lie flat beds, Ethiad’s three room suites in the sky and Air France’s First Class Cabins. This really be a Wow ship and I am sure you will all want the opportunity to sail on her, once launched.

Some of the names that have been put forward are very regal, being Diana & Princess Catherine.

So whats you thought’s, what would you call her? Why don’t you enter the competition, by visiting the P&O website and submit your name.
