Cruising hits record numbers

A record number of almost 2 Million British passengers went on a cruise holiday in 2017, according to figures released by CLIA,  the industry body. This is an increase on the previous figures for 2016.

Another 48% of non cruisers had also expressed an interest in Cruising according to recent figures.

37% of those cruising last year chose a Mediterranean Itinerary, but it was Northern Europe – home of the Northern Lights and the Norwegian fjords that pipped the Caribbean into 2nd Place.

I do feel as more people get the confidence to trust a Cruise Specialist and allow them to tailor make a package around them rather than being dictated to what the Cruise line would like you to do, then more and more people will be enjoying ticking off their Bucket Lists.

To me, there is no other way to holiday. I am a true addict to cruising and so are all my family. It is perhaps the only thing all 5 of us ever agree on!
