Adult Virgins only!

For the last 2 years we have only heard snippets of information about Entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson’s new Venture into the Cruise Market.

Virgin Voyages will launch their first Ship from the American Port of Miami in 2020

They have three ships on order to the mind blowing sum of $2.55 billion, all to be built in Italy by Fincantieri’s Sestri Ponente shipyard near Genoa.

Virgin’s trademark red with a hint of Silver and a scarlet mermaid figurehead design decorates the sides of the bow.  Interior features are yet to be announced but Branson has vowed to make this design the most ‘gorgeous’ ship out there.

It will have the capacity for 2,800 guests and 1,150 crew, this its sleek design is set to mirror that of a super Yacht.

Seven-day cruises out of Virgin Voyages’ Miami home port will begin in 2020. Itineraries  are yet to be announced and they have promised that this ship with stand out and be the most recognizable ship on the Ocean.

One announcement set to upset plenty will be that the ship will not accommodate under passengers under the age of 18yrs.

Quite a brave move for their first entry to the Cruise Market. I hope it is a success for him as he seems to have the Midas touch on most ventures he sets his mind to.

He seems to do better in the Longhaul market so not surprised that the first ship at least will be based in the States. I remember his attempt to break the European Market a number of years ago. It was the only company that didn’t thrive.
