Ship Visits. Why everybody should try it!!!

Hey Guys. This week I want to talk about ship visits and the reason you would be mad not to try one even if cruising isn’t something you are thinking about doing.

So have you got a special occasion coming up and don’t know what to do? or do you want some ideas for your next holiday but not sure where to go. Maybe you are a huge foodie like me and want to go to a michelin star style restaurant however they are fully booked or too expensive. If any of these sound like the situation you are in then a ship visit could be right for you.

You get on the ship at a port near you. You will then be offered a glass of prosecco or a soft drink. I would recommend not driving as the waiters are very generous when topping up your drink at lunch. You will normally then go to a lobby area where you are offered some snacks or canapes while you listen to a short presentation about the ship itself. After the presentation you will then go on a tour of the ship. You get to go to some places that you may never see if you were going on a full cruise. You will get to see the top suites on board. For me I love seeing these huge suites. It makes me want to work harder to one day have this myself.

After the tour of the ship you will then sit down to a delicious 3 4 or 5 course meal with a choice of alcoholic or soft beverages. The food on most ships is of a very high standards. As they are trying to impress you they will serve food from the speciality restaurants. For hose of you that have cruised before will know that you will normally pay a cover charge for these restaurants.

All in all this is a lovely day out. The idea of them is so you will get an interest in cruising with that liner. Most people who go will get off and want to book a cruise. So it definitely serves its purpose. Even after all this and you still don’t want to go at least you would have had a delicious meal out.

Ship visits in general are about £25pp. I don’t know about you but I think this is a great price for what you are getting. To book these normally you just go on the cruise ships website and register. Why not give it a go.
