Living on a cruise is cheaper than living on land. Official!!!

Snew blog 1o as the title suggests. Living on a cruise ship is actually cheaper than living in some major cities around the world including London, Sydney and New York. ( This is according to the Daily star so it must be true).

A year long cruise setting sail from Southampton would cost from £24,000. According to one cruise company. Londoners could expect  to save £5712 in living costs. In return they would be able to swap the busy tube and over priced accommodation for the life of luxury on board. As well a this they can get to travel the world in style.

They determined that it would be cheaper by calculating what you would spend on Rent, Gym, Utilities eating out and entertainment etc. This will also be based on doing twelve one month cruises over a year period.

A typical year long cruise would cover roughy 163 destinations in 35 different countries. You could also be in the Caribbean during the winter months and soak up the mediterranean in the summer or what ever else takes your fancy. As well as being away over the festive periods.

Whilst onboard the ship you will be treated to an unlimited supply of food, great entertainment, Swimming pools, fitness centres and spa. I think the only problem is you would want to get off.

For me personally I like the comfort of being on land and not sure my sea legs could get used to it, however i am sure once you get past the first couple of weeks I could truly enjoy being pampered whilst waking up in a different country every day.

Has anyone out there done a 3 month world cruise? Could you have done longer?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Would anyone give this a go? I look forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions about this or any other cruises then please let me know
