I predict a riot. Mass brawl breaks out onboard cruise ship.

The one thing you don’t to see while you are on a relaxing break onboard a luxury cruise ship, sailing around the South Pacific, is a punch up.

This is exactly what happened on board Carnival Legend. As many as 30 people were  injured in a fight on a cruise ship after days of skirmishes turned into a full-on brawl. 23 of the people are believed to be members of the same family. The ship was forced to make an emergency stop at the New South Wales town of Eden so that six men and three teenage boys could be removed.

Kellie Petersen, who was on the cruise with her husband and their three children, said trouble on board had been “brewing for days”.

“They were looking for trouble from the minute they got on the ship,” she told Melbourne’s 3AW. When I have been on a night out sometimes you can sense tension in the room before the whole thing kicks off however when cruising many times before I have never really felt this atmosphere. Most of the time people are just there for a good time. As many of you know cruises to Australia aren’t cheap and the people onboard wanted to have a fisty cuff they should have saved that for the boxing ring. They would have saved a lot of money. Obviously I cannot comment on why it all kicked off however I don’t believe violence solves anything. I think part of the reason that most cruise liners are only full board. This way they can limit the amount of Alcohol people drink.

What are your thoughts on this? Have you ever been on a cruise ship where you have seen fights break out? I have never even seen a security guard. would it put you off from going on that line? Do you think Alcohol should be limited? It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on this
