Daniel's Days of Cruise

The Final Countdown!

Subject: Same sex marriage wedding cake with two male groom figurine cake toppers and rainbow flag in background.

I’m on the final countdown now!

In 6 weeks time, I will finally be getting married to my partner of 8 years! We booked our wedding over 2 years ago and its crazy how quickly it’s come round! I am super organised and everything was booked and paid for well in advance, the only thing left to buy now is my shoes! We are getting married at a beautiful hotel right on the seaside in Kent, we have 60 guests coming to the day and an extra 140 guests joining us for the evening.

We have 4 very special guests flying in from New York for the big day.. We met Arlene, Charles, Lauren & Casey on our Carnival Vista Med cruise back in August 2016 and had a fabulous week with them exploring the Med, they invited us to New York for Thanksgiving, sadly we couldn’t make it in 2016 as we had just bought our first house but we made the trip in November 2017. They are flying in 5 days before the wedding so we have enough time to play tour guide for them and take them to London etc. They are really avid cruisers and love Carnival, they go on at least 4 cruises a year with them! After the wedding, we are taking them to Bruges for a few nights. Bruges is one of my favourite cities and is so beautiful, I can see why cruise lines call here – so easy to get to and just beautiful!

My little boy has recently turned 5 too, he has spent the last few weeks before his birthday complaining about being 4, now he’s 5 he keeps saying he misses being 4! He finishes school for the summer next Friday, I’m looking forward to having some quality time with him in the holidays, he’s going to play an important role on the wedding day! It’s also going to be the first time many of our family and friends have met him.

Have you made any good friendships with fellow cruisers?

Until next time, Daniel x
