In or out!!

That’s the question on everyone’s minds at the moment. On the 23rd June we are being given a historic chance to vote on whether we stay in or leave the EU! We have been members since January 1973 and all I can think is that maybe we would be better off looking after ourselves than letting politicians in Brussels decide what degree of bend our bananas should be!

I have changed my mind several times and keep looking at the pros and cons but how do you think this will affect travel.

Here are a few of the key questions we should be asking:

Will leaving impact our currency?

Will we need visas within Europe?

What cover will we have as currently we get reciprocal healthcare?

Will our EHIC cards still be valid?

Will it affect low cost airlines such as Ryan air and Easy Jet?

Do I know the answer to any of these? I am afraid not . Worryingly according to a report undertaken for ABTA by Deloitte neither does the Travel Industry although some experts suggest it will have little or no impact if we leave.

What remains certain is that we as a country may have a rocky road ahead but I firmly believe that we are a nation of fighters and we will overcome whatever is thrown in our path.

For me personally my head is saying stay but my heart is saying leave so I will continue with my battle till the 23rd June.

And finally a very important question you must ask is if we leave can we still take part in the Eurovision song Contest!!

What do you think of it all? Are you voting in or out and whats your reasons for this?

Maybe we should have our own little poll so vote now by commenting IN or OUT.
