Independence of the Seas Mini Cruise

So I have just recently booked my first Royal Caribbean cruise on-board the Independence of the seas for a mini cruise for me and my family to celebrate my parents 60th Birthdays. So I thought it would be great to write another blog about this fantastic cruise line and ship.

Most of my colleagues and friends have told me that I will not be able to try and get to do everything on-board with it only being a 3 nights cruise from Southampton to Belgium and France. However I am sure that I will try. Most people have advised me to pre-book the All Inclusive beverage package at $55pp per day as drinks can be somewhat expensive on-board, so I will take recommendation and make sure all 6 of us take this out.

They also have the English style pub on-board “The Dog and Badger”, which again have been told by many to have a drink in there.

The Royal Promenade is something that I have yet to experience as this is most Royal Caribbean that have this lay out on their ships but what a view this is and I am sure I will be interested to have many walks along there.

I am also looking forward to testing the activities out on-board such as the rock climbing and zip lining. It would be rude not and also this will help with the feed back to future customers. Although I love rock climbing I am not to keen on heights so the zip lining will be  areal challenge for me but I will certainly be up for it. Also I will have my older brother with me so I am sure he will be trying to out do me!

As we all know, a cruise has so many different foods to offer and I am sure I will be in the gym 4 weeks before the cruise and 2 weeks after the cruise trying to keep in shape. I always think that you are on a cruise to experience everything it has to offer, which includes the food and dining so I will be looking forward to each evening and dining.

Although we have 3 guaranteed inside cabins which I am aware that the cabins may not be near each other, I really just wanted my family to see and experience what a cruise has to offer, so they can get their leg foot through the door and I am sure once they try it, they will be wanting to try another. As this is what cruising does, once they have you, you will always go back for mor
