So I have recently been looking at Northern Lights cruises with Hurtigruten who specialize in cruises to Norway and the Northern Lights. Hurtigruten are a specialist cruise line with smaller ships enabling you to get into smaller ports of call and see more of Norway.

Now the cabins can be slightly smaller than you’d expect from a normal Ocean cruise however their ships are so much smaller compared to the other cruise lines. Typically tonnage for Hurtigruten is around 16,000 tonnage plus.

Tipping

Hurtigruten has a non-tipping policy. However, if you feel that crew members should be rewarded for providing exceptional service this is entirely at your discretion.
