Oh my goodness, what a busy 2 weeks I have had!!

On my last blog, I mentioned that I am off to Genoa to join the MSC Seaview for a couple of nights, well that will be on Friday and it has come around in the blink of an eye, I mean ok it’s 2 nights but it’s going to be action-packed nonstop exploring a brand new ship, usually this involves at least triple if not more the number of steps you would normally take in a day so I have been checking out what shoes to take.

I spent a few days in London last week so thought I would try them out there first, I have to say we chose the hottest week ever to visit, I have forgotten just how busy the roads are down there, in fact, it used to take us a good 10 minutes trying to cross 2 roads. Also, the thing that got to me the most was the air quality, right in the center it is not brilliant and I ended up coughing by the time we walked to the hotel, at first I did not realize why until the receptionist told me and then later on my daughter started coughing as well.
London is huge, I worked there when I was about 18 and loved it so had a look around where I used to live and work near to the Earls Court Road, boy has it changed, I remembered the names of the roads but it was just too hot to walk around, this was after we had a been to Covent Garden and I did a bit of juggling with one of the street entertainers, my daughter was going to hide as she was mortified that I got up and had a go, I can juggle with 3 balls it seems, plus she posted the footage all over facebook for all to see.

We had a great time there by the way and we took in a show called Wicked which was amazing, everyone should go to see it if they get the chance.

I have to say for any visitors to London I would always buy an oyster card, they saved us a fortune as most of our day was on and off buses and the tube.

Now it is time to start thinking about what to take with me to visit Genoa for our MSC Seaview Christening. I mean we are going to be mixing with the elite here so a bit of sparkle and bling will be the order of the day I reckon. How much can you fit in a small cabin bag and where will I put my duty-free, I am sure it can be squeezed in somewhere.

Now before we go I am sure there are some of you out there who will be quite interested in this trip and what I wondered was this, is there anything on the ship that you would like to see that we could take photos of?

We will try to go live on facebook a couple of times to give you an idea of what it is like and of course, there will be fireworks and all sorts of things going on so watch out for that on my facebook page then if you like it you can follow me and see what unfolds.

Anyway, that is me for the moment, my next blog will be all about the wonders of the MSC Seaview so watch out for that. I cannot wait to see it

Genoa here we come!!
