Outback Adventures Dominican Republic

Back in July we spent 2 weeks in the resort of Punta Cana in Dominican Republic. We stayed in a huge complex with everything on site. We love to get out and about though so booked a few tips including Zip Lining, Pirate ship with swimming with sharks & stingrays and an off road buggy safari.

Our favourite trip by far was Outback Adventures. Chris and I actually met in Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic) 11 years ago and this was our first time back to the Island. When we lived there we worked as holiday reps ans our top selling excursion was Outback Adventures and we just knew we needed to go again and we certainly were not disappointed.

It was an early start being picked up from the hotel at 7.50am in a big truck. We had a couple more pick ups before we headed inland to see local villages. The scenery is amazing Jurassic even. They did film some scenes from Jurassic Park here and you can understand why.

We stopped off at a local house to see all the different things we can get from Coconuts. We also saw cocoa & coffee production. There was an opportunity to purchase items from the local villagers too.

Here you can see our guide Eddy. The guides are fantastic and so knowledgeable.

We stopped off for lunch and had a traditional meal La Bandera also known as the Dominican Flag. Rice, red beans, meat (fried chicken) and salad.
We also visited the local garden and Charlie even got to feed a pig!

After lunch we got the chance to see cigar production and finally we ended up in Macao Beach for boogie boarding.

We loved our day out with Outback Adventures Dominican Republic and I have great news for those of you visiting Punta Cana or Amber Cove on a cruise. You can get yourself booked on an amazing day out on this beautiful Island.
