Celebrity Cruises To Sail From Dublin

Celebrity Cruises have announced recently that they will be the first major cruiseline to base a ship in Dublin.

Between April and June 2018 there will be will be five sailing leaving from Dublin to Northern Europe on one of Celebrity’s 2800 plus Solstice class of Ship with Itineraries expected to be confirmed later this year.

This is the biggest investment any cruiseline has made in Ireland and with 14,000 passengers expected onboard the Dublin sailing they are forecasting a €6 million boost to local economy.

UK and Ireland managing director Jo Rzymowska said: “Celebrity Cruises has enjoyed significant support from our travel agent partners and guests throughout Ireland for many years.

“Now we are saying thank you by basing one of the flagships of our fleet in Dublin for a mini season during early summer 2018.

“We know that our guests from around the world, and in Ireland, will love the warm welcome they receive when starting a holiday in Dublin.

This is great news for Irish passengers who will no longer have the expense and inconvenience of travelling to the England and I’m sure these sailing will attract a lot of interest from American passengers who love to explore the UK and Ireland when tracing back their ancestry.
